Falls on private property

This is a another falls I 'discovered' by sound rather than by sight. It's not on any web sites that I know of, and not mentioned in any of the books I have. Fortunately for me as I tried to track down the source of the sound the owner was in his front yard. He kindly granted me permission to take some pictures, and even went along with me. He explained the history of the property, which dated to the 1700's along with who originally owned it and what their place was in NYS and local history. Quite a bit more than I had bargained for - I was absolutely delighted with the conversation.

So then we arrived at the falls:

Then the owner said 'Now come with me." I followed him to the uppermost drop in the picture above where you can see the stream disappearing to the left.

And he showed me this!
