On Hells Hole Creek, which joins the Platte Kill just downstream of Bridal Veil Falls. This is accessible from the stone bridge near the top of Platte Clove, just down from the Plattekill Falls access at the Platte Clove Preserve. Dunn reports that there are posted signs here, but they were not posted when I visited. Park at the pullout downhill from the bridge and follow a well worn trail. The trail leads to an exposed promontory with a stunning view of Bridal Veil Falls. On the way back up you will see a trail to the left that leads along the base of the cliff you descended. Follow this carefully and you will have access to Hell Hole Falls. This is much higher than what Dunn reports - probably a 40 foot plunge with many other cascades. It is as rugged as he describes.

There is also a nice cascade upstream of the bridge that is worth exploring:

I love the depth in that first photo. That would make a great poster!

Could we also get LGD's photo of this falls on the Plattekill Falls page posted here? It's a better view of the main plunge

Here's the small one below the bridge

or did you mean this one?

That is in the main clove, though, and I personally consider Hell's Hole to just be the side gully leading up to Devil's Kitchen.

Definitely the first one. I agree that Hell's Hole is the side gully. The second one is Bridal Veil Fals.

Good to know, I think Dunn lists all the names of the falls in Platte Clove, just never bothered to look them up.
