For anyone visiting T Falls, may I suggest a side trip to Lively Run Goat Dairy, open for farm purchases and tours from April 15th through October 30th. http://www.livelyrun.com/events.htm It's awesome, provided you like goat cheese! And if you think you don't like goat cheese, you are really missing something!!!
Another nearby destination that I want to see is Smith Woods, http://www.cayuganaturecenter.org/about ... woods.html, a 34-acre old growth forest in Trumansburg, managed by the Cayuga Nature Center. http://www.cayuganaturecenter.org/.
Here's a quote from the web page: "This 32-acre tract contains hemlocks between 150 and 300 years old, red oaks nearly 200 years old, and sugar maple, yellow poplar and beech exceeding 130 years. One very large cucumber magnolia is growing near the Sure Save entrance. Twenty-three tree species have been identified and labeled along the trail running through the woods. Some trees are more than 10 ft. in diameter and 130 ft. tall."

Too cool, Mark--Lively Run is right down the road from us! Great folks. Smith Woods is a very nice place. I'm very pleased that T-burg has committed to protecting this resource. Being right on Route 96, at the edge of the village, they could have easily opted to develop the area. T-burg has always been a progressive, proactive community. Many of my old hippy friends settled down there to raise families.
