There is a new web site for the Skaneateles Conservation Areas at http://skaak.org/

Your "Skaneateles Conservation Area map" and "full map" links are way out of date. A current map is at https://skaakdotorg.files.wordpress.com ... ea_cs2.pdf and there are more maps on the web site.

Your "History" section is a little different from my understanding. The "Federal Farm" part was a USDA Soil Research Station which closed around 1969. Part was sold to the town as a transfer station around 1970, and part was used by the Army for Helicopter landing practice. That part was eventually given to the town by the federal government in 2001 for use as a conservation area. I don't think that who the owner is has much effect on "underage activities."

The statement that "There is a camping area in the south end of the conservation area" is incorrect. The current rules limit camping (except by Scouting groups) to the Lean-to by the fishing pond near the North end of the area. This is by permission only.

Your "Town of Skaneateles Conservation Areas" link under Related Links is dead. You could redirect it to the new site.

The Guppy Falls page is at http://skaak.org/the-areas/federal-farm ... ppy-falls/ but so far it just has a few pictures (not nearly as good as the ones on this site).

Randy - thanks for bringing these things to our attention.

I am wise, because I've been foolish.
