Re: Letchworth State Park

Going to Letchworth State Park was well worth the trip. We spent a day there taking about 500 pictures and the Lord blessed us by keeping the rain away from us. Shooting conditions were not ideal but the sights were beautiful. ...

Re: Letchworth State Park

Every time I go there I'm always impressed with those stone tables in all of the picnic areas. I presume those were made by the CCC.

Re: Letchworth State Park

For the Oly C8080, which has a very bright lens, you definitely need a Neutral Density filter. I used to use a C8080 and sometimes I would have to stack a 4ND and an 8ND just to get the lens to slow down enough. I then moved on to using a ND filter and a slim polarizer, which worked just as well and...

Re: Letchworth State Park

When shooting waterfalls and to get the silky look you need a tripod, ND filters, and a slow shutter speed. Best days for waterfalls are cloudy and overcast also try shooting in the golden hours.

Re: Red, White & Blue Balloon Rally|May 23-26|Letchworth

I thought they would float over the gorge and I figured I'd be able to get a nice shot from Inspiration Point, so we drove down the road and waited. Nothing at all. Apparently the wind took them above an behind Inspiration Point. I heard from a few others that the next day the balloons were visible ...

Re: Red, White & Blue Balloon Rally|May 23-26|Letchworth

This is my first try at photographing balloons. Matt was right the light was harsh. I wish I knew they would drop in the gorge because I would have headed over there sooner. Here a couple of shots form the day. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2049/2535593241_7c387e2e05_b.jpg http://farm4.static.flick...
