Lighting conditions were tough for this time of day and location, but I got a few usable shots.

My husband suprized me. He had the day off and we drove out to Rochester. We did not find Letchworth, but We got to High Falls. I took a few pictures there and went to the museum, and that was about it. It was just nice to get out of the house and out of Ithaca for the day.

I decided I am gonna check it out, leaving at about quarter to 5.

They are launching in the park at archery field, across from the big bend, near the southern end. Launching can take up to an hour. Not sure where the wind will take them... east, but not sure if it will be over anything scenic. I'm still up in the air about this.

I would like to go to the evening launch. Not sure where to go though...letchworth or launch site? and is it 6:00 pm launch?

I'm pretty set on making it to the evening launch tomorrow (Sunday). Anyone else?

I think we would have a blast Brenda ... I would love to be out in the middle of no where ... most of all on the weekends. Some of my family and friends from work are going to be at Samson for July 4th weekend. I cannot wait to get away from the city! Sounds like you guys have a great time owning yo...

I would love to go to this, but I cannot find my way out of a wet paper bag ... and I do not have anyone to go with me. I cannot be un-supervised on outtings right now. I keep trying to break myself for some reason ... lol. Take some awesome pictures to share. I love the balloons

okay, from what i'm reading, inflatable kayaks are not great for open water- they are a bitch to paddle. So those are out for the finger lakes stuff I want to do. I guess I'll have to explore getting hard shell kayaks and a mount for the car. There are foldable models but they seem pricey.
